More Cooking on Channel 4

British Channel 4 seems to be having quite a few interesting cooking programmes.
Well-known chef Gordon Ramsey (Hell's Kitchen) also presents "The F word" with plenty of his receipes.

Then there is Jamie Oliver of the School Cantine food Campaign presenting "Jamie's Great Escape".

And last but not least organic and back-to-basics cooking by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall in "River Cottage"
Besides River Cottage also has its own website at: http://www.rivercottage.net/

There are forums and plenty of receipes to find on these websites.

Cooking It - Reality TV show

Every Sunday evening on TVB Pearl at 8.30pm a programme called "Cooking It" is broadcast. It is an entertaining programme about an absolute zero at cooking who learns from chef Jun Tanaka in a few weeks to be competitive with professional cooks.
The interesting thing about it is that the viewer also learns a few tricks along the way. Also the recipes look appetizing and also quite accessible for the average cook.
Check out the website with quite a few recipes and video demonstrations at: Cooking It

Disco Buddha

On June 23, 2007 the Island District Council organised a big entertainment event at Ngong Ping Monastery to celebrate Hong Kong's 10th Anniversary.
It was only meant for residents of the Island District. We were picked up and transported by bus. Upon arrival we could play some games and win souvenirs.
After that we were offered delicious vegetarian dinner. Then the evening started with the HK Police Force March Band, a blessing by the Ngong Ping Abbott, dragon dances and various other performances. The climax was as I call it "Disco Buddha": the Big Buddha was the centre piece of fireworks and music. This, I think, was really unique. I love photography so I took 200 photos.

Thank you, IDC, for organizing. I had a great evening!

Skies in Hong Kong

I love taking photos of skies with special light. I am making an album with skies I captured over the years in Hong Kong.

Even though over the pas 2 years, the skies got visibly more polluted, we've had a beautiful sky since about end of May.

Click here for the Photo Album. I use a Samsung NV10 without any lenses. This album will be regularly updated.
